One day Pat and I were just cruising around and we decided to go in to this ranch that is down the road from the RV park. It is a place that cowboys (and girls) come to practice their roping skills before going on to be competitors in the rodeo circuit. They line the calves up in a shute then their are two riders that must chase him down and one trys to lasso around the neck and one must lasso the hind feet. They put a color on the calf so the rope does not injure his neck. They are very humane and it is a lot of fun to watch.
