We went for a ride after the “Iowans” breakfast. Pat took me to do some shots of the Casa Grande Ruins. We had been there before but I wanted to try a new vantage point. Below is one of the images I captured. The overhead structure was put up protect the remaining ruins from the elements. The ruins were built by the Hohokam Indians. It is over 40 feet tall and very impressive when you stop and think about the lack of tools they had to work with and the fact that the ground is like cement in this area.
I will post more images as soon as I get them edited. This is really an amazing area for photo ops and I am taking full advantage of it.
